House Bill 3483 amends the Government Code to create the Clean Coal Technology Council to provide legislative oversight and coordination of state agencies regarding the study and development of clean coal technology and related pilot projects in the state. The eight-member council consists of three legislators and one public member appointed by each of the legislature's presiding officers. Members serve two-year terms expiring February 1 of each odd-numbered year and may be reappointed for additional terms.
