            House Bill 3537 amends the Family Code to prohibit, in a suit for adoption, the court or any other person performing a social study or home screening from considering the fact that the petitioner is a military service member as a negative factor in determining whether the adoption is in the best interest of the child or whether the petitioner would be a suitable parent.
