House Bill 422 amends Local Government Code provisions relating to a park and recreation district in a county with land on both the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers. The bill specifies that a district's board of directors is required to hold meetings in a county in which at least part of the district is located and authorizes the board to hire support staff. The bill raises the maximum dollar amount of a contract that does not require a bid to correspond to the maximum amount set for a county. The bill authorizes the district to levy a tax on dry boat storage rental and expands the authorized uses of district tax revenue.
