            House Bill 4260 amends the Health and Safety Code to authorize certain entities to adopt a policy regarding the maintenance, administration, and disposal of epinephrine auto‑injectors and to provide for the administration of an epinephrine auto‑injector to a person reasonably believed to be experiencing anaphylaxis under a standing order without requiring a previously established physician‑patient relationship. The bill makes each entity that adopts such a policy responsible for training employees in the administration of an epinephrine auto‑injector. The bill provides for immunity from civil or criminal liability or disciplinary action of a person, and immunity from suit of an entity and entity employees or volunteers, for an action or failure to act under the bill's provisions.
