            House Bill 442 amends the Government Code to establish the emergency radio infrastructure account in the general revenue fund, consisting of criminal conviction fees and all interest attributable to money in the account.  The bill  authorizes the appropriation of money in the account to the Department of Public Safety, limits the use of the money to certain specified public safety purposes, and exempts the account from provisions regarding the use of dedicated revenue.

            House Bill 442 amends the Local Government Code to replace the fugitive apprehension account with the emergency radio infrastructure account as a recipient of a percentage of criminal conviction fees and to revise the minimum percentages of those fees that must be allocated to certain accounts and funds.
