House Bill 658 amends the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to establish that, under certain circumstances, postjudgment interest does not accrue on the unpaid balance of an award of damages to a plaintiff attributable to any portion of the award that is subject to a Medicare subrogation lien. The bill also modifies the deadlines by which an expert report and any objections to the sufficiency of such a report must be served in a health care liability claim.
