Enrolled Bill Summary

The Education Code allows a county or school district, if approved by its voters, to levy a branch campus maintenance tax on property to support a junior college district branch campus within the county's or school district's territory. House Bill 722 amends the code to allow use of the tax outside the county or school district for the support of a shared branch campus in a contiguous jurisdiction that also has levied the tax.
