Senate Bill 10 amends the Education Code to require a public elementary or secondary school to display in a conspicuous place in each classroom of the school a durable poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments that meets the requirements listed by the bill. The bill requires a public elementary or secondary school in which each classroom does not include such a poster or framed copy to accept any offer of an eligible, privately donated poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments and display it. The bill provides for the attorney general's defense of a public elementary or secondary school in a cause of action relating to any claims arising out of a school's compliance with those requirements.
