Senate Bill 1282 amends the Labor Code to provide that written notice of a workers' compensation claim to a certified self-insurer, for the purpose of establishing deadlines for a timely response, occurs only on written notice to the qualified claims servicing contractor designated by the self-insurer and that written notice to a political subdivision that self-insures occurs only on written notice to the intergovernmental risk pool or other entity responsible for administering the claim.
