Senate Bill 1327 amends the Government Code to assign to the Texas Historical Commission the duty to promote heritage tourism through assistance in the preservation, enhancement, and promotion of Texas cultural and heritage attractions. The act sets forth associated powers and requirements. It makes minor changes relating to the commission's use of the Texas preservation trust fund and removes a provision requiring trust fund advisory board approval for financial assistance for a project in excess of $20,000.
