Senate Bill 144 amends the Occupations Code to require the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, the Texas State Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners, the State Board of Dental Examiners, the Board of Nurse Examiners, the Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners, the Texas Optometry Board, and the Texas State Board of Pharmacy to provide information to health care practitioners regarding the use and abuse of prescription pain medication and the services provided by poison control centers.
