Senate Bill 1964 amends the Government Code and the Local Government Code to authorize the collection of an additional filing fee for civil cases in a district court, statutory probate court, or county court at law in Hidalgo County and Cameron County to be used for court facilities improvement projects. The bill also provides for the collection of an optional real property records filing fee by the county clerk of Hidalgo County and the county clerk of Cameron County for court facilities improvement projects.
