Senate Bill 24 creates the Ranch at Clear Fork Creek Municipal Utility District No. 1, located in the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of the City of Uhland in Caldwell County, subject to approval by that city and by voters at a confirmation election. Reason Given for Veto: "Senate Bill No. 24 would have created the Ranch at Clear Fork Creek Municipal Utility District No. 1. The boundaries of the utility district extend outside the extra-territorial jurisdiction of the City of Uhland. Accordingly, the representation contained in Section 7(b) of the bill is incorrect. I encourage the author and the sponsor of the bill to correct the technical defect in this legislation and to continue to pursue the creation of this local utility district."
