Senate Bill 310 amends provisions of the Government Code relating to judicial salaries to provide that, notwithstanding the biennial appropriations act, the salary from the state for a justice of the supreme court is at least $102,463. The act provides for a supplemental salary for a district judge who serves as a local administrative district judge in a county with more than six district courts and for county judges whose functions include at least 40 percent judicial functions. The act also increases the salary for the chief justice of a court of appeals and sets out provisions for the salary from the state of a retired judge assigned to a district court and of a former judge or justice assigned to a district court.
