State law provides that the Texas Department of Economic Development may not designate more than two businesses in a single defense readjustment zone as defense readjustment projects. Senate Bill 313 amends the Local Government Code to increase that limit to six businesses, but it will not take effect because of a provision contained in Section 3.03 of House Bill 3211.
