Senate Bill 331

Effective: 6-20-25

Senate Author: Kolkhorst

Senate Committee: Health & Human Services

House Sponsor: Frank

House Committee: Public Health

Senate Bill 331 amends the Health and Safety Code to extend the applicability of statutory provisions requiring the disclosure of health care cost information applicable to licensed hospitals under current law to certain other types of health care facilities. However, the bill limits the applicability of those provisions to facilities with a total gross revenue of $10 million or more. The bill additionally revises provisions relating to the administrative penalty that the Health and Human Services Commission may impose on a facility that fails to respond to a request to submit, or fails to comply with the requirements of, a corrective action plan.
