Senate Bill 505 amends the Government Code to provide that the Guardianship Certification Board is entitled to obtain from the Department of Public Safety criminal history record information maintained by the department that relates to a person who is an applicant for or the holder of a certificate issued by the board. The bill sets out the purposes for which the board may use the criminal history record information, prohibits its release or disclosure to any person except under certain conditions, and requires that the information be destroyed by the board after use.
