Senate Bill 509 amends the Election Code to require a court to electronically notify the attorney general of a hearing in an action under the Election Code seeking a temporary restraining order. The bill provides for the participation of the attorney general in the hearing and makes a temporary restraining order issued in violation of the bill's provisions void and unenforceable.
