Senate Bill 560 amends the Education Code to require the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to develop a strategic plan for the improvement and expansion of high‑quality bilingual education. The plan must set tangible goals and establish timelines for specified related objectives. The bill sets out other provisions relating to the plan and requires TEA to submit the plan to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker of the house of representatives, and members of appropriate legislative committees not later than December 1, 2022.
