Senate Bill 577 amends The Real Estate License Act to require a person who is not a licensed real estate broker or salesman and who is compensated to sell, buy, lease, or transfer for another an easement or right-of-way for use in connection with certain services to register with the Texas Real Estate Commission. The act establishes registration requirements and fees and exempts registrants and certain partnerships and limited liability partnerships from real estate licensing requirements.
