Senate Bill 588 amends the Cultural Education Facilities Finance Corporation Act to expand the purposes for which a cultural and community facility may be created. The bill provides that a corporation formed by a city or county under the act has the same rights and powers as a corporation organized under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act, and it provides that a city or county may limit the corporation's purpose by prohibiting the financing of particular types of cultural facilities.
