Senate Bill 619 amends the Education Code, Government Code, Health and Safety Code, Human Resources Code, Insurance Code, Labor Code, Occupations Code, Special Districts Local Law Code, Utilities Code, and certain session laws to make various revisions related to the Texas Sunset Act, including changing certain sunset dates. The bill, among other provisions, clarifies that the legislature may subject certain governmental entities other than state agencies to review under the Texas Sunset Act, revises the duties of Sunset Advisory Commission members, makes certain commission communications confidential, and prohibits the commission from discussing in a public hearing the application to an agency of review criteria relating to the agency's cybersecurity practices.
