Senate Bill 78 amends the Government Code to add certain statewide and local volunteer organizations involved in court‑appointed advocacy programs to the list of entities to which the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) sells repaired or refurbished surplus or salvage data processing equipment and to specify that such equipment is for use by children or youth in foster care.
