            Senate Bill 882 amends provisions of the Human Resources Code and Education Code relating to autism and pervasive developmental disorders.  The bill includes provisions relating to operations, composition, functions, and funding of the Texas Council on Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders.  Senate Bill 882 also includes provisions relating to school district compliance with the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and requires the Texas Education Agency to establish a committee to study the rule concerning the content of an individualized education program for a student with autism or another pervasive developmental disorder.
