Senate Joint Resolution 22 proposes a constitutional amendment to increase the maximum size of an urban homestead from 1 to 10 acres, provided that, if a homestead consists of more than one lot, all of the property is contiguous, and to authorize the use of an urban homestead as both a home and a place of business. The resolution also provides that an existing lien against part of a homestead does not extend to another part of the homestead not pledged as security for a lien.
