<P>House Bill 3234 amends the Health and Safety Code to require a hospital authority to transfer assets or proceeds from the sale of a hospital or part of a hospital to the municipality or county that created the authority to fund or support health-related projects. The authority and the governing body are prohibited from transferring the assets of the authority without due compensation except to the municipality or county that created the authority to fund health-related projects. </P>
