Subchapter A, Chapter 211, Local Government Code, 1-27 is amended by adding Section 211.0075 to read as follows: 1-28 Sec. 211.0075. COMPLIANCE WITH OPEN MEETINGS LAW. A board 1-29 or commission established by an ordinance or resolution adopted by 1-30 the governing body of a municipality to assist the governing body 1-31 in developing an initial comprehensive zoning plan or initial 1-32 zoning regulations for the municipality, or a committee of the 1-33 board or commission that includes one or more members of the board 1-34 or commission, is subject to the open meetings law, Chapter 271, 1-35 Acts of the 60th Legislature, Regular Session, 1967 (Article 1-36 6252-17, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes), regardless of whether the 1-37 board, commission, or committee has rulemaking or quasi-judicial 1-38 powers or functions only in an advisory capacity. 1-39 SECTION 2.
