                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to statewide notification of certain fees set by
    1-3  commissioners courts.
    1-4        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-5        SECTION 1.  Section 118.131(f), Local Government Code, is
    1-6  amended to read as follows:
    1-7        (f)  On or before October 15 of each year, the commissioners
    1-8  court shall provide written notice of the amounts of the fees set
    1-9  under this section to the State Bar of Texas.  Before December 1 of
   1-10  each year, the State Bar of Texas shall send a list of each county
   1-11  and its corresponding fees to:
   1-12              (1)  the commissioners court of each county in this
   1-13  state; and
   1-14              (2)  any statewide association of counties or of
   1-15  officers of counties that submits to the state bar a written
   1-16  request for the list before September 30 of that year <requests in
   1-17  writing before September 30 to be informed; and>
   1-18              <(3)  the State Bar of Texas>.
   1-19        SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 1993.
   1-20        SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-21  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-22  emergency   and   an   imperative   public   necessity   that   the
   1-23  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-24  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
