No. 472 By: Whitmire 1-17 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1-18 AN ACT 1-19 relating to the exemption of judges and justices from the 1-20 prohibition against carrying certain weapons. 1-21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-22 SECTION 1. Section 46.03, Penal Code, is amended by adding 1-23 Subsection (d) to read as follows: 1-24 (d) Section 46.02 of this code does not apply to: 1-25 (1) an active, full-time judge or justice of the 1-26 supreme court, the court of criminal appeals, a court of appeals, a 1-27 district court, a criminal district court, a constitutional county 1-28 court, or a statutory county court; 1-29 (2) an active presiding or associate municipal judge; 1-30 (3) an active, full-time justice of the peace; or 1-31 (4) a senior judge or judicial officer as defined by 1-32 Section 75.001, 831.001, or 836.001, Government Code. 1-33 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1993. 1-34 SECTION 3.
