H.B. No. 502 1-1 AN ACT 1-2 relating to the printing of a statement regarding a health care 1-3 directive on the reverse side of a driver's license. 1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-5 SECTION 1. Article II, Chapter 173, Acts of the 47th 1-6 Legislature, Regular Session, 1941 (Article 6687b, Vernon's Texas 1-7 Civil Statutes), is amended by adding Section 11D to read as 1-8 follows: 1-9 Sec. 11D. DIRECTIVE TO PHYSICIAN ON REVERSE SIDE OF LICENSE. 1-10 On the reverse side of each driver's license the Department shall 1-11 print "Directive to physician has been filed at tel. #" followed by 1-12 a line that the holder of the license may use to indicate the 1-13 appropriate telephone number. 1-14 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1993. 1-15 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the 1-16 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-17 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-18 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-19 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
