                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the procedures applicable to the registration of motor
    1-3  vehicles.
    1-4        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-5        SECTION 1.  Subsection (g), Section 2a, Chapter 88, General
    1-6  Laws, Acts of the 41st Legislature, 2nd Called Session, 1929
    1-7  (Article 6675a-1, et seq., Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes) is
    1-8  amended to read as follows:
    1-9        (g)The county, the county tax collector, a deputy county tax
   1-10  collector, and any person acting for or on behalf of a county or
   1-11  county tax collector, or a person acting on behalf of the owner for
   1-12  purposes of obtaining registration to the vehicle are not liable to
   1-13  any person for registering a motor vehicle under this section.
   1-14        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-15  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-16  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-17  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-18  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-19  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-20  passage, and it is so enacted.
