1-24 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-25 SECTION 1. Section 14(c), Vehicle Storage Facility Act
1-26 (Article 6687-9a, Revised Statutes), is amended to read as follows:
1-27 (c) The operator of a vehicle storage facility may not
1-28 charge less than $5 or more than $15 for each day or part of a day
1-29 for storage of a vehicle. A daily storage fee may be charged for a

1-32 than one day if the vehicle remains at the vehicle storage facility
1-33 less than 12 hours. For the purposes of this subsection, a day is
1-34 considered to begin and end at midnight.
1-35 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1993.
1-36 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the
1-37 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-38 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-39 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-40 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
