Section 172.116(b), Election Code, is amended to 1-21 read as follows: 1-22 (b) The committee shall convene to conduct the local canvass 1-23 at the county seat not earlier than 6 p.m. on the first Thursday or 1-24 later than 1 p.m. on the first Friday after election day at the 1-25 hour specified by the county chairman. 1-26 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1993. 1-27 SECTION 3.
