1-16 AN ACT
1-17 relating to the jurisdiction of the County Court of Taylor County.
1-18 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-19 SECTION 1. Section 26.321, Government Code, is amended to
1-20 read as follows:
1-21 Sec. 26.321. TAYLOR COUNTY. The County Court of Taylor
1-22 County has the general jurisdiction of a probate court and juvenile
1-23 jurisdiction as provided by Section 26.042(b) but has no other
1-24 criminal or civil jurisdiction.
1-25 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the
1-26 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-27 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-28 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-29 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-30 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
1-31 passage, and it is so enacted.
