                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the treatment for tax purposes of property held and
    1-3  used for public purposes pursuant to an interlocal contract between
    1-4  political subdivisions.
    1-5        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-6        SECTION 1.  Section 791.013, Government Code, is amended by
    1-7  adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
    1-8        (c)  All property that is held and used for public purposes
    1-9  by the administrative agency or designated local government shall
   1-10  be exempt from or subject to taxation in the same manner as if the
   1-11  property was held and used by the participating political
   1-12  subdivisions.
   1-13        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-14  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-15  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-16  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-17  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
