   1-21                         A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
   1-22                                AN ACT
   1-23  relating to the treatment for tax purposes of property held and
   1-24  used for public purposes pursuant to an interlocal contract between
   1-25  political subdivisions.
   1-26        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
   1-27        SECTION 1.  Section 791.013, Government Code, is amended by
   1-28  adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
   1-29        (c)  All property that is held and used for public purposes
   1-30  by the administrative agency or designated local government shall
   1-31  be exempt from or subject to taxation in the same manner as if the
   1-32  property was held and used by the participating political
   1-33  subdivisions.
   1-34        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-35  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-36  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-37  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-38  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
