1-21 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1-22 AN ACT
1-23 relating to increasing the grant amounts for and to the
1-24 administration of the agricultural diversification and
1-25 microenterprise support programs.
1-26 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-27 SECTION 1. Section 44.004(e), Agriculture Code, is amended
1-28 to read as follows:
1-29 (e) A grant under this section may not exceed $50,000
1-30 <30,000>.
1-31 SECTION 2. Section 44.005(e), Agriculture Code, is amended
1-32 to read as follows:
1-33 (e) A grant under this section may not exceed $50,000
1-34 <30,000>.
1-35 SECTION 3. Section 44.001 is amended by adding subsection
1-36 (8) to read as follows:
1-37 (8) "Board" means the board of directors of the Texas
1-38 Agricultural Finance Authority in Chapter 58 of this code.
1-39 SECTION 4. Section 44.003, Agriculture Code, is repealed.
1-40 SECTION 5. The importance of this legislation and the
1-41 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-42 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-43 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-44 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-45 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
1-46 passage, and it is so enacted.
