                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the licensing of real estate inspectors.
    1-3        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-4        SECTION 1.  A person issued a transitional license under
    1-5  Section 4.03(c), Chapter 553, Acts of the 72nd Legislature, Regular
    1-6  Session, 1991, who otherwise was eligible for a license as a real
    1-7  estate inspector but did not complete 75 real estate inspections
    1-8  within 12 months after the date of issuance of the transitional
    1-9  license is eligible to obtain a real estate inspector's license if
   1-10  the person gives to the Texas Real Estate Commission an affidavit
   1-11  stating that the person was unable to meet this requirement because
   1-12  the person's principal place of business as an inspector is in a
   1-13  county with a population of less than 50,000, according to the most
   1-14  recent federal census.
   1-15        SECTION 2.  This Act expires January 1, 1994.
   1-16        SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-17  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-18  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-19  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-20  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-21  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-22  passage, and it is so enacted.
