Section 42.002(b), Property Code, is amended to 1-20 read as follows: 1-21 (b) Personal property, unless precluded from being 1-22 encumbered by other law, may be encumbered by a security interest 1-23 under Section 9.203, Business & Commerce Code, or Sections 41 and 1-24 42, Certificate of Title Act (Article 6687-1, Vernon's Texas Civil 1-25 Statutes), or by a lien fixed by other law, and the security 1-26 interest or lien may not be avoided on the ground that the property 1-27 is exempt under this chapter. 1-28 SECTION 2.
