No. 2038 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1-1 AN ACT 1-2 relating to the creation of judicial districts composed of Harris 1-3 County. 1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-5 SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 24, Government Code, is 1-6 amended by adding Sections 24.640, 24.641, 24.642, 24.643, and 1-7 24.644 to read as follows: 1-8 Sec. 24.640. 395th JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HARRIS COUNTY). The 1-9 395th Judicial District is composed of Harris County. 1-10 Sec. 24.641. 396th JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HARRIS COUNTY). The 1-11 396th Judicial District is composed of Harris County. 1-12 Sec. 24.642. 397th JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HARRIS COUNTY). The 1-13 397th Judicial District is composed of Harris County. 1-14 Sec. 24.643. 398th JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HARRIS COUNTY). The 1-15 398th Judicial District is composed of Harris County. 1-16 Sec. 24.644. 399th JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HARRIS COUNTY). The 1-17 399th Judicial District is composed of Harris County. 1-18 SECTION 2. The 395th, 396th, 397th, 398th, and 399th 1-19 Judicial Districts are created, and this Act takes effect on 1-20 September 1, 1993. 1-21 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the 1-22 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-23 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 2-1 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 2-2 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
