No. 2115 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1-1 AN ACT 1-2 relating to emergency appropriations. 1-3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-4 SECTION 1. In addition to amounts previously appropriated 1-5 for the current fiscal biennium to the Office of Court 1-6 Administration of the Texas Judicial System by Item 2., page IV-21, 1-7 Chapter 19, Acts of the 72nd Legislature, 1st Called Session, 1991, 1-8 the sum of $21,000 is appropriated for the two-year period 1-9 beginning on the effective date of this Act from the general 1-10 revenue fund to the Office of Court Administration of the Texas 1-11 Judicial System for the travel expenses of justices of courts of 1-12 appeals to hear transferred cases. 1-13 SECTION 2. In addition to amounts previously appropriated 1-14 for the current fiscal biennium, the sum of $300,000 is 1-15 appropriated for the remainder of the fiscal year ending August 31, 1-16 1993, from the general revenue fund to The University of Texas 1-17 Health Science Center at San Antonio for the use of the Center for 1-18 the Enhancement of the Biology/Biomaterials Interface. 1-19 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the 1-20 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-21 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-22 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-23 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended, 2-1 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its 2-2 passage, and it is so enacted.
