                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the regulation of utilization review agents.
    1-3        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-4        SECTION 1.  The Insurance Code, Chapter 21, Subchapter E,
    1-5  Article 21.58A, Section 14 is amended by deleting subsection (c)
    1-6  and renumbering the remaining subsections accordingly.
    1-7        SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 1993.
    1-8        SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
    1-9  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-10  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-11  constitutional rule requiring both to be read on three separate
   1-12  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-13  and this Act take effect and be in force according to its terms,
   1-14  and it is so enacted.
