                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the reorganization of certain judicial districts.
    1-3        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-4        SECTION 1.  Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is
    1-5  amended by adding Section 24.524 to read as follows:
    1-6        Sec. 24.524.  379TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (GRIMES AND WALLER
    1-7  COUNTIES).  The 379th Judicial District is composed of Grimes and
    1-8  Waller counties.
    1-9        SECTION 2.  Notwithstanding Section 24.109, Government Code,
   1-10  the 9th Judicial District is composed of Montgomery County only.
   1-11        SECTION 3.  Notwithstanding Section 24.110, Government Code,
   1-12  the Second 9th Judicial District is composed of Montgomery County
   1-13  only.
   1-14        SECTION 4.  Notwithstanding Section 24.113, Government Code,
   1-15  the 12th Judicial District is composed of Leon, Madison, and Walker
   1-16  counties.
   1-17        SECTION 5.  Notwithstanding Section 24.254, Government Code,
   1-18  the 155th Judicial District is composed of Austin and Fayette
   1-19  counties.
   1-20        SECTION 6.  Notwithstanding Section 24.455, Government Code,
   1-21  the 278th Judicial District is composed of Leon, Madison, and
   1-22  Walker counties.
   1-23        SECTION 7.  The 379th Judicial District is created and this
   1-24  Act takes effect September 1, 1993.
    2-1        SECTION 8.  The importance of this legislation and the
    2-2  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
    2-3  emergency   and   an   imperative   public   necessity   that   the
    2-4  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
    2-5  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
