                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the right of a defendant in a criminal case to a speedy
    1-3  trial.
    1-4        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-5        SECTION 1.  Articles 32A.02 and 28.061, Code of Criminal
    1-6  Procedure, are reenacted.
    1-7        SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect on the date on which the
    1-8  constitutional amendment proposed by __J.R. No.____, 73rd
    1-9  Legislature, Regular Session, 1993, takes effect.  If that
   1-10  amendment is not approved by the voters, this Act has no effect.
