No. 2647 By: Sims 1-21 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1-22 AN ACT 1-23 relating to the charge and control of certain state facilities 1-24 located in Kerrville. 1-25 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-26 SECTION 1. At the time that the comptroller vacates the 1-27 comptroller's training center, located at 125 Lehmann Drive in 1-28 Kerrville, charge and control of the building and its grounds are 1-29 transferred and committed to the Railroad Commission of Texas. 1-30 While it has charge and control of the building and grounds, 1-31 the railroad commission may use the center for its purposes and 1-32 shall make the center available to other governmental entities. 1-33 The comptroller shall give reasonable notice to the railroad 1-34 commission and to the General Services Commission of the date on 1-35 which the comptroller intends to vacate the center, and on the date 1-36 that the comptroller vacates the center the comptroller shall 1-37 inform the two commissions of that fact. Each appropriate state 1-38 agency or officer shall take any action necessary to transfer 1-39 charge and control of the center to the railroad commission as 1-40 required by this Act. 1-41 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the 1-42 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-43 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-44 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-45 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended. 1-46 * * * * * 1-47 Austin, 1-48 Texas 1-49 May 11, 1993 1-50 Hon.
