1-16 AN ACT
1-17 relating to the Rusk County Court at Law.
1-18 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-19 SECTION 1. Section 25.2032(f), Government Code, is amended
1-20 to read as follows:
1-21 (f) The district clerk serves as clerk of the county courts
1-22 at law in matters of concurrent jurisdiction with the district
1-23 court <cases enumerated in Subsection (a)(2),> and the county clerk
1-24 serves as clerk of the county courts at law in all other cases.
1-25 The commissioners court may employ as many deputy sheriffs and
1-26 bailiffs as are necessary to serve a court.
1-27 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1993.
1-28 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the
1-29 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-30 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-31 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-32 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
