H.C.R. No. 41
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas Legislature is proud to honor Gladys
1-2 Fulton Bailey Sneed on the joyous occasion of her 100th birthday;
1-3 and
1-4 WHEREAS, A native Texan, she was born December 28, 1892, and
1-5 has been a resident of the community of Wells in Cherokee County
1-6 throughout most of her life; and
1-7 WHEREAS, Mrs. Sneed is a warm and gracious woman who raised
1-8 four fine children of her own and who devoted herself
1-9 wholeheartedly to providing a happy and secure homelife for her
1-10 children; and
1-11 WHEREAS, Over the years, her close-knit family has continued
1-12 to grow, and she now enjoys the love and affection of 14
1-13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3
1-14 great-great-grandchildren; and
1-15 WHEREAS, This beloved lady continues to be a source of
1-16 happiness to those around her, and her generous and loving
1-17 qualities have brightened the lives of all who know her; and
1-18 WHEREAS, The 100th birthday of Mrs. Sneed provides a fitting
1-19 opportunity for her numerous friends and relatives to share with
1-20 her a small bit of the joy and hope she has imparted to all who
1-21 have had the privilege to share her love throughout the years; now,
1-22 therefore, be it
1-23 RESOLVED, That the 73rd Legislature of the State of Texas
1-24 hereby honor Gladys Fulton Bailey Sneed and extend warmest
2-1 congratulations to this lovely lady on the momentous occasion of
2-2 her 100th birthday; and, be it further
2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-4 prepared for Mrs. Sneed as an expression of highest regard by the
2-5 Legislature of the State of Texas.
