H.C.R. No. 53
                              HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Honorable Bill Clinton, president of the United
    1-2  States, is a distinguished statesman and national leader; and
    1-3        WHEREAS, As President Clinton embarks on the first year of
    1-4  his administration, it would be highly appropriate for him to
    1-5  address the members of the Legislature of the State of Texas on
    1-6  matters of mutual concern; now, therefore, be it
    1-7        RESOLVED, That the 73rd Legislature of the State of Texas
    1-8  hereby extend an invitation to President Bill Clinton to address a
    1-9  joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives of the
   1-10  State of Texas at any date and time of convenience to him during
   1-11  the regular session of the legislature; and, be it further
   1-12        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   1-13  prepared for President Clinton as his official invitation from the
   1-14  Legislature of the State of Texas.
