H.C.R. No. 100
                              HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, Ruth Rich will celebrate her 80th birthday on March
    1-2  22, 1993, and to her family and many delighted friends, this event
    1-3  promises to be a truly joyous and memorable occasion; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, A native of New York City, Mrs. Rich moved to San
    1-5  Antonio with her husband, the late Alfred Rich, in 1973; a loyal
    1-6  Texas resident for 20 years, this exceptional woman has found great
    1-7  success and happiness in her adopted home state; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Inspiring all who know her with her energy,
    1-9  enthusiasm, and love of hard work, she continues to work full-time
   1-10  as she approaches her 80th birthday and has contributed her insight
   1-11  and expertise to numerous local political campaigns over the years;
   1-12  and
   1-13        WHEREAS, The mother of Lloyd, Paul, and Alan Rich, and
   1-14  devoted grandmother of Charles, Claude, and Phillip Rich, this
   1-15  outstanding Texan has been a source of immense joy and strength to
   1-16  those around her throughout her full and generous life; now,
   1-17  therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the 73rd Legislature of the State of Texas
   1-19  hereby congratulate Ruth Rich on the momentous occasion of her 80th
   1-20  birthday and extend to her warmest best wishes for many more happy
   1-21  and rewarding years; and, be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   1-23  prepared for Mrs. Rich as an expression of highest regard by the
   1-24  Legislature of the State of Texas.
