   1-15                      HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
   1-16        WHEREAS, The 60-plus age group is the fastest-growing segment
   1-17  of the United States population today, and this growth places
   1-18  ever-increasing demands on programs for the elderly with each
   1-19  passing year; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Texas Silver-Haired
   1-21  Legislature has done an outstanding job of representing and
   1-22  identifying the special needs of the elderly population in Texas;
   1-23  and
   1-24        WHEREAS, The important contributions that these dedicated
   1-25  individuals continue to make to the legislative process each
   1-26  session indeed merit the support of the members of the legislature;
   1-27  now, therefore, be it
   1-28        RESOLVED, That the 73rd Legislature of the State of Texas, in
   1-29  accordance with house and senate rules and policies of the House
   1-30  Administration Committee and the Senate Administration Committee,
   1-31  hereby grant the Texas Silver-Haired Legislature permission to use
   1-32  the auditorium of the Capitol Extension from September 13, 1994, at
   1-33  9 a.m. through September 16, 1994, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of
   1-34  holding their legislative session; and, be it further
   1-35        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   1-36  prepared for the Texas Silver-Haired Legislature as an expression
   1-37  of high regard by the Legislature of the State of Texas.
